About ADBA Bloodline Classification

The American Dog Breeders Association (ADBA) is the oldest and largest American Pit Bull Terrier registry in the world, founded in 1909. ADBA registration requires proof of purebred lineage; the association maintains stud books tracing bloodlines back over a century.

The bloodlines documented on this page are historical lineages — defined by the dominant stud dog or foundation bitch from which they descend. A dog can carry multiple bloodlines simultaneously; modern APBT pedigrees commonly blend Jeep, Chinaman, and OFRN genetics in varying proportions. The bloodline percentages shown on apbt.gr dog profiles are calculated directly from the registered pedigree using Wright's method.
